Hey everyone! I have a little writing update to share, and honestly, I'm still in awe. One of my stories has made it through the first round of consideration for Chicken Soup for the Soul! What makes this moment so special is that I grew up reading Chicken Soup for the Soul books. As a little girl, I would read those stories and write my own, imagining what it would be like to have my words included in one of those books someday. And now, all these years later, one of my stories is actually being considered. Talk about a full-circle moment. Of course, making it through the first round doesn't guarantee publication. There's still a selection process ahead, and I have no idea what the final outcome will be. But that doesn't take away from how meaningful this moment is to me. Sometimes, when you're constantly writing, submitting, receiving rejections, and trying to make a name for yourself, it's easy to overlook the progress you're making. But this? This is something my younger self would have been so excited about. I'm proud of how far I've come, even though I still have so much further to go. Whether my story makes it into the final book or not, I'm grateful for this opportunity. And for a moment, I'm allowing myself to simply be in awe. Thank you for being here, cheering me on, and witnessing this journey with me. With love, |

If there's one thing I've learned, it's that being a writer requires patience, persistence, and a whole lot of faith. Some days, I feel like I'm making progress. Other days, I wonder if I'm getting anywhere at all. But through it all, I've continued showing up for myself and my craft. And recently, that persistence paid off! 🎉 My creative...
I have a little writing update to share. 🥹 My essay, “The Day I Stopped Calling Myself an Aspiring Writer,” has officially been accepted for publication this fall. 🍂 And this one feels especially meaningful. For so long, I called myself an aspiring writer—as if I needed one more byline, one more acceptance, one more person to give me permission before I could claim the word writer for myself. But somewhere along the way, I realized: I’m not aspiring to write. I write. I submit. I get...
